The Scaffolding Process
Looking for a scaffold in Medway, Kent, London or surrounding counties but unsure of the process?
The following six simple stages, aim to outline this process to construction novices and experienced tradesmen.
We work with our customers, clients and other trades to ensure that each design is tailored to each individual project.
We quote all our projects on an individual basis. Our Contracts Manager or Surveyor will attend all sites to ensure that they can provide and accurate quote. When providing a quote, we ensure that we listen to our customer’s needs and provide a holistic quote for all work needing to be undertaken.
Once we have returned to our office in Rochester, Medway, Kent, we will ensure that a clear quote is provided. We will ask our administration team to ensure this quote is emailed you within a timely manner.
Where a pavement licence is needed, we will include this within a quote and liaise with the client as to the best way to obtain the necessary licence. We appreciate each Local Authority have a different process, whether that be Kent County Council, Medway Council, Bexley Council or one of the London boroughs. We work directly with the appropriate body to ensure any pavement licence is obtained as quickly a possible, before any works commence, where this is necessary. We hold public liability insurance to the value, to meet local authority requirements.
Our team of efficient, qualified scaffolders will arrive on site at a time agreed, prior to erecting the scaffold. They will all comply with health and safety measures, attend the site induction and be aware of method statements and risk assessments for each individual project. We understand the importance of working alongside other tradesman, and work efficiently to ensure project deadlines are met. Once the scaffold is completed the main contractor will be issued a handover certificate.
4. During work
During the time the scaffolding is erected and being used it will need to be inspected by a trained operative with the correct qualifications. Scaffolds of any size need to inspected every seven days to make sure it is safe to use. H&H Scaffolding Services LTD can provide this service to our clients, to ensure a safe working environment for everyone involved in the works .One of our team will carry out a thorough inspection of the scaffolding structure to make sure it is safe to use. We use the well-known ScaffTag system which is recognised by the scaffolding industry and health and safety bodies across the UK.
5. Removal on completion
Once projects are completed our team will remove the scaffolding. We understand that for some projects different parts of the scaffolding may need to be removed and adapted at different times, to meet the projects needs.
